意得慈善基金呈獻:嶺南大學晚宴 2024 Kingrich Charitable Foundation presents: Lingnan University Gala Dinner 2024
嶺大於12月12日舉辦兩年一度的籌款盛事「意得慈善基金呈獻:嶺南大學晚宴2024」,主題為「嶺南大學邁向數字時代的蛻變」,重點展示嶺大邁向數字時代的新篇章,展現大學如何蛻變為國際化的文理融合型大學,同時為「大學研究基金」籌募經費。晚宴期間舉辦了別具意義的慈善義賣,一眾嘉賓認購合共606部由嶺大創業行動研發的人道科技產品「袖珍空氣淨化機」PureAura。所有已售出的PureAura將捐贈予由本地非牟利機構營運的過渡性房屋居民。嶺大科學教研組主任及副教授王沛欣教授及嶺大金融學系副教授趙小峰教授於晚宴上分別展示了其創新的研究項目,體現了嶺大致力透過可持續方案應對當前挑戰的承諾。晚宴亦呈獻了一系列精彩節目,包括由嶺大社區項目「嶺聲共融樂坊」的校內外參加者帶來的動人音樂演出,展現音樂的共融力量;有校友則以「同檐異夢」為主題表演精彩的拉丁舞。了解更多:https://bit.ly/41OxJmxOn 12 December, Lingnan University hosted the signature biennial fundraising event, “Kingrich Charitable Foundation presents: Lingnan University Gala Dinner 2024,” themed “Lingnan’s Transformation into the Digital Era.” It served as a platform to introduce Lingnan’s new chapter—embracing the digital era and transforming into a comprehensive university in arts and sciences with impactful research and innovation while raising funds for our University Research Fund.A special charity sale was held during the dinner, where guests purchased 606 units of the mini air purifier PureAura, designed by the Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative. All purchased units will be donated to residents of a transitional housing project run by a local NGO in Hong Kong.The Dinner showcased innovative research initiatives presented by Prof Paulina Wong, Head and Associate Professor of the Science Unit, and Prof Zhao Xiaofeng, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance. Their projects illustrate Lingnan’s commitment to addressing real-world challenges through sustainable solutions.The dinner also featured exciting performances, including a music performance by participants of Lingnan’s social impact project “Link Sound Sinfonia,” showcasing the inclusive power of music, and a dazzling Latin dance by a Lingnan alumna, themed “Under the Same Roof, Different Dreams.”Read more: https://bit.ly/406bVSd

The construction of Lingnan Hub began in February 2022, with the aim of officially opening in the academic year of 2024/25.
- 0:25Bollywood Dance Workshop brings ethnic and cultural vibes at LingnanWithin Lingnan University’s liberal arts education framework, the Wong Bing Lai Music and Performing Arts Unit (WBLMP) has been organising music and arts courses and activities to enrich students’ learning experience and assist cultural and ethnic encounters on the campus. Recently, it invited local dance charity BEYOND Bollywood to host a Bollywood dance workshop on 3 November.In the workshop, co-founder and artistic director of BEYOND Bollywood Uday Sathala introduced the wide variety of Indian dances, and the history and culture of Bollywood dance to some 20 students.
