Through field sampling and lab analysis, he uncovers competition and dietary shifts to inform conservation strategies.Beyond research, he advocates for education and policy engagement, aiming to raise public awareness and support government decisions through data-driven insights.

The awards included the Outstanding Researcher Award, the Early Career Researcher Award, and the Research & Knowledge Transfer Fund Award, recognising faculty members for their innovative scholarship and impactful initiatives that elevate Lingnan’s global research presence.
